@Sweetsound - can't see myself walking around attached to ear phones - maybe in future babies will get an implant at birth . . . .
IMO there is nothing better than a great sound system in a beautiful room - even on an outside terrace (have not managed that - tried once for a party, but it involved positioning of speakers (getting long cables etc.) and someone (me, as well as having all the other hosting duties) in attendance at the record player (Bang and Olufsen in those days, I still have the speakers left and attached them to a cheap 4-in-one system, but the CD player always breaks down after a short while,(this is my second one), but have separate single CD-player also attached to former B.&O. speakers - wires everywhere
). The system (because of the great Speakers) is still worth it for ABC Radio, which one can now listen to via TV as well - but the music menu is not always my cuppa !?!

so how do you listen to music when not via a computer?

(not sure why they'd want to anyhow with such good music bursting through the airwaves and landing in ears beyond home borders.
Plus a blu-ray player hooked in for videos.
