I remember MT making the point at one of there recent presentations recently that TLG is not, primarily, a mining company. He described TLG as a technology company that owns its own resource and means of production. Digging up graphite is a small part of the story. Making custom anode, for a specific purpose, to exact specifications, within the EU, for the EU, is what Talga is/will be.
Not to be dismissive of the difficulties in mining, but anyone can go dig something out of the ground. But in addition to a mine, TLG has R&D offices in Cambridge UK with around 60 staff, an anode production facility in Sweden, and a (functioning) pilot anode plant in Germany that are manufacturing products that are being tested by customers over several years, because they are making products that require, in MT's words "nearly aerospace quality processes".
To call Talga a 'pre-revenue explorer' as the AFR has done today is to miss the point by a rather large margin.
