This may be true but does it mean stock holders will receive a Beter price than Stock is at to day. I have held stock in several mergers only one or two did I make more than stock sold for before activity started. Lynas with a PE of 20 A market Cap of A$6.2B and a book value of A$2. 163 B is unlikely to fetch even a price of 6B in a take over. People that only look at headlines read about takeovers and mergers that make a lot for SH. The fact is the vast majority lose money in these deals but those deals do not receive any press.
Think about this statement. "IPO market has bottomed out with a string of sub $10 million raisings coming up." Only bargain hunters will go after companies and that means no premium for companies that MC is way more than book value.
