My guess is that LLL requested a 2-4 week extension to the suspension period to sort out the ongoing issues with the Mali government and the ASX weren't happy with their response. Whilst LLL might not be happy to disclose the particulars of their dealings with the Mali government, shareholders have the right to be a bit better informed, especially given after the latest drop in the SP that resulted from a clear lack of any resolution to many of the unanswered outstanding issues.
