I retired 12+ yrs ago treefer.... and I didn't work in clinics where they do these procedures.
but you're right, the ethics is fraught. on one hand its ethical to respect a person's right to decide for themselves, with, of course, appropriate mental and physical health assessments, and its also ethical for expert surgeons to perform such procedures.
it doesn't matter if I agree or not though - thats my personal opinion - irrelevant.
