''The ask is for you to articulate in economic terms what policy or lack thereof have affected economic mechanism''again and again and again, you miss the point of what is making Australia fail AND that it's effecting a wide range of things -including the Aussie dollar - the dollar is a reflection of how the country is doing
I've spoken for years about education and the need for it ------------------ I've said over and over again that Howard and Abbott and co have done the exact OPPOSITE of what Australia needs to build a vibrant nation by gutting education - does that statement not suggest that I feel the opposite policy should be right for Australia -------- ie. (god, why do I have to spell it out) ---------- PUSH education --------- make it accessible, make it free, the nation needs it and not job training, I mean education -
here is a bit of a story in today's paper ------------------ a simpleton SHOULD be able to extend this logic to an entire nation --
try, if you can't extend the logic - find a small child to explain it to you -
''If a child has a chance of an education, then the chance of the child reaching their full potential goes up by a factor of 10. There's a community about 45 minutes from Cairns where half the school-age children have a condition that causes pus to run from their ears — chronic suppurative otitis media. The average wait to see an ear, nose and throat surgeon for the children of that community is five years.
For that kid at school, who can't hear the teacher because of the pus running out of their ears, it means for half of their school life they will not hear what the teacher says. We can't be surprised if that child then doesn't seem to do as well at school as the kids who do have hearing.
Why don't we as a country say this is a terrible shame? It's fixable.''
Political guts, determination and simple policy would fix that problem.
Fix the problem and you increase education. The education gets people up. It makes a more productive society. It makes people independent and not taking welfare. All of that has an effect which goes on to move the currency ---no, perhaps I'm wrong thinking you can 'get' that --------------- go get the child, they'll explain it to you.
