    You know I love your work @gimo211 In this instance though, I do agree with @Heskumdai - this doesn't actually make sense.

    Agree that the shorted shares have created an artificial supply of shares, which have helped to keep the price down. (Note: for which I am personally thankful for as I have bought quite a few )

    The short position is only "risk-free" if they have been buying TPD as a hedge. Otherwise, they would likely be in quite a bit of pain already.

    Short selling STX and buying an equivalent amount of TPD (roughly double) doesn't help anyone build any stake, let alone a strategic stake as they would simply offset each other. Eg. If I short sell 100 STX shares, and buy 207 TPD shares which I later convert back to 100 STX shares, I'd simply end up with a net position of 0.
