Special approval is required and rules vary between countries. Acadia would need to agree to supply and pricing would also need to be determined (often medicines supplied under this program have a cost premium of 20-35%). As everyone.org has Daybue specifically listed as an available medicine on its website, it would appear that Acadia is willing to supply under this program. Finally, the question of who pays would need to be addressed.
I think it’s fair to say that Daybue would be unaffordable for self-paying patients so they would need the agreement of their health insurer. I think it’s also fair to say that that is likely to represent the biggest hurdle for those wanting to access Daybue under this program.
