USA has dominant reserve currency. That enabled it to freeze Iran's assets.
The irregular invasion of Israel by Hamas, plus the lurking Iranian supported Hezbollah threat from Lebanon, will probably unstick Saudi and sympathetic others from the USA. That will reduce the power of the US petro-dollar faster than anticipated. (Also take into account Russia and Saudi acting against US wishes by cutting oil production and that Iran also exports oil).
Likely to rapidly cause US economic meltdown, particularly if Congress won't pass supply, US can then no longer just 'export' their inflationary borrowing.
Possible that Iran will ultimately create more of an economic 'bloodbath; in the US than the reverse.
Making European Union, India, East Asia and China more reliable trading partners.
Meanwhile, markets aside, who is really responsible today for fellow humans being killed and captured around Gaza?
