Atlas harvests at 2 years from initial grafting so it's dependant when that took place. Indonesian waters do not cool like the Australian pearling waters so there are less impacts from temperature.
They have benefited from strong demand which is good but average size of 0.35 momme is very small for 2 years of growth(9.66mm). If there was a correction in the market the pearl size combined with their low marketable grade would see revenue fall sharply. These are the risks in any aquaculture/agriculture setting.
I would rather see the market stabilise for a couple of years before investing in a new steel vessel, imo that will cost 2-3 million AUD.
Food for thought but still nice to see share price strengthen.
