I'm simply saying, again, that there would be nothing wrong with EQR introducing a dividend into their future planning now and telling the market so. Its not bullshit, its PR. If they plan to have 100mil in the bank in the next couple of years then its more than reasonable.
If, for some reason, it falls over and they cant pay it or have to delay it - so what, that happens all the time.
And no, they probably didnt have any obligation to disclose to the market about the Spain deal specifically. But to not even mention that they were looking at other acquisitions just as Mt Carbine was getting up and running. I for one would have preferred some forewarning.
