Think he's referring to microfossils used for biostratigraphy work. It would appear that the sidewall cores cut in M1 were all done for petrophysical studies. For biostrat work you usually cut cores in claystone or siltstone while reservoir rock such as sandstone is targeted for petrophysical studies.
