I agree, the buybacks were used when they should have been. I also agree with Leapzig in that Wes does have reason to keep those who took shares as part or full payment of their buyout as happy as possible. Some of them are probably still on the payroll. This is also a relatively low liquidity stock and buybacks can be used to provide liquidity and stability to the SP to SH advantage. Regardless of the current residential building environment and uncertain macro conditions I can only see less competition and future tailwinds for MGH.
