"Conclusions
Together, these results suggest that our Folate nanoparticles can provide target-specific delivery to cancerous
tissue and generate measurable signal by SPMR and create molecular T2 contrast in MRI, demonstrating that
SPIONs can offer non-radioactive and non-invasive approach for detection of ovarian cancer. Additional
studies using orthotopic ovarian tumor model provided translational relevant results to support clinical
studies in ovarian cancer tumor detection as well as monitoring therapy response."
