A few things to be considered

Dozens of unarmed civilians are being murdered every day in the west bank by heavily armed settlers.
At least a dozen hostages are already casualties of the Israeli bombardment.
Over 1 million people have been given hours to leave northern gaza before carpet bombing continues
Of that 1 million at least half will be kids
There is no possible way for 1 million people to leave the area as there are no clear roads -- the area has already been turned to rubble.
about 2000 civilians are thought to be dead so far in gaza and probably 5 times that many injured , many of the dead kids would actually resemble the picture you posted.
Israel takes no responsibility if the hostages are collateral damage from their bombs , saying the responsibility lies with hamas . Ditto with civilians , they accept no responsibility for civilian casualties .
I think we can expect civilian casualties in Palestine to be on a scale never before seen outside of se Asia or Africa, I would not be surprised if they run into the hundreds of thousands ultimately .

Ben (and others) will likely be to overjoyed in the destruction to consider innocents. And yes, there will be many.
