The major parties are pork-barreling in Bennelong (Disclosure: I live in Bennelong and I vote.......)

First we had the multi billion train line from Epping to Parramatta being promised by Federal Labour that was originally scrapped by NSW Labor

Now the Federal Liberals are getting in on the act by promising funding for a "men's shed"

Unfortunately I live nowhere near the rail line (or fortunately depending on how you look at it, as I prefer my part of the electorate) and will not use the mens shed. We need some pork bareling for Bennelong green voters. More seriously, it would be great to see services dispensed on the basis of need rather than on the basis of being a marginal electorate
