Yep you got it pretty right but adding to your description that played out was the dopes used a horse with prominent white stockings on its legs so they would have used a fair amount of dye to paint over it. Bold Personality was the horse and it had already won 15 times and been placed 12 times in only 50 starts, they should have checked the weather forecast because that’s what brought them undone in the end as when it got back to the mounting yard the paint was dripping off in bucketfuls. You got to laugh really there would have been a lot of people with their heads between their legs trying to disappear all of a sudden and everyone lost their money as it was disqualified and no refund for any.
