That is such good advice mate. It's proven that it rarely works. It was a subject that is discussed often. It is even discussed in the Equity Market training courses.
A share usually goes down for a reason and it's not normally a good reason. There are definitely exceptions but as you state, they are rare. Averaging up is a more prudent Investment Strategy.
