They get 25% production from the well attributable to their WI.
So if they had 10% WI in the well , their royalty would effectively be a 2.5% revenue stream from the well production. But this is after deduction of well operating costs, including transport.
So in this case, they get no cash up front, but get more cash in the end if the well is a gusher.
The total royalty paid by BRK would be the sum of all the royalty payment of the individual owners. It usually averages ~20% as some holders take the more cash bonus, less royalty options.
