Good post Meerkat.
I have not even come onto the CDU thread for around a year now because I just couldn't stand all the WM's excusers when he failed to meet deadline after deadline again and again. I tried so hard to get the message across that his credibility was shattered and his word was clearly not his bond but I always got howled down and goaded, accused of down ramping and continuing to buy more ad nauseaum - none of which was the truth.
I sold most of my shareholding over $5 because I had held it for so long (and it was rather substantial) and I just did not trust the man. Of the 6% I have left I'll just hold it and see what happens.
When I saw it crash all I could think of was how sad I felt for everyone who continued to hold believing he was the new Messiah.
My sympathy goes to you most sincerely and I do so hope you can all recover no matter what decisions you come to, either to take the loss and put what is left into something else or hold in hope.
He would have known for a very long time that the JORC would not come even close to that which he spruiked and it was disgraceful to lead shareholders on such a wild and expensive goose chase.
I believe he should do the honourable thing and stand aside but his ego would not permit that. Furthermore, as someone else posted - apathy will again reign supreme shortly and the AGM will come and go.
