From one of the presentations: "Talga's project financing strategy targets a mix of project equity and debt"
They're targeting 60% project debt (EIB + other financial institutions), 40% project equity from strategic partnerships. Project equity is different to equity in the company. If successful, it means no dilution to shareholders as it's done through an SPV. Mark was hoping that the EU would provide more assistance on the 40% project equity side and up until recently was including the possibility of further backing from EU Sovereignty Funds within that 40% project equity. He stated his frustrations that state aid wasn't there at the moment, so that may be ruled out.
Disappointing regarding the state aid, but we're still far ahead compared to if the JV with Mitsui and LKAB eventuated.
