@nutteee After the initial announcement for plans to invest in May, they were soon exposed for the forced labour camps in the Uyghur region. They plan on building in Torsboda Industrial Park.
"PTL will now enter a phase of project planning and permit applications, while Torsboda Industrial Park continues to work on infrastructure and development of the North area of the site."
What I find interesting is that on the FAQ section of the Torsboda website, they state: "We need dialogue and exchanges with other nations to promote trade, but also to work on solutions to major global challenges such as the climate issue. At the same time, we safeguard Sweden's and the EU's security and clearly stand up for the rules-based world order and international law, including respect for human rights."
Yeah, sure you do...
This industrial park appears to be a total new build out, whereas Lulea is more developed and already has plenty of industrial activity.
"Construction will begin in the autumn of 2023 and is expected to be completed in December 2025."
