    Hi Hawk,
    Thanks for sharing that background to Windimurra … I’ve been reading a bit today about the infamous Rod Smith
    https://www.theage.com.au/national/...h-2m-damages-and-apology-20020719-gdueof.html
    https://www.news.com.au/finance/mining-boom-looted-in-wa/news-story/297747866e04dac0ed91c0552b02b2a8

    And the connections to Westgold??? …. And when I looked a while ago, I remember reading Chris Ellison had some involvement?

    It’s a fascinating story.
    And TMT and AVL revitalising that plant and then shipping ore all the way down there to be processed seems just as unrealistic as carting it to Tendinewa (which is at least on the way to a port!) …. Unless the economics were extremely good which - from what you say - they are not.

    … So I had wondered if the ‘sources’ speaking to the AFR were naming ‘Windimurra’ as a red herring.

    Beyond this your post was in two distinct sections;
    - Some great information on the rise and fall of a relatively nearby Vanadium operation in days gone by
    - And some sticking the boot into AVL and RCF to suit the ‘let’s hijack the merger ’ thematic which I think devalues the sharing on Windimurra and pushes for a return to ‘rabble rousing’ rather than genuine debate.

    boo to that bit;
