FIRBs role is to stop Aussies getting stooged and they have a current focus on the mineral sector.
When two companies buy a large amount of shares (on the same day in both these cases) then it is clear they are talking with each other.
Like when James Packer and Lachlan Murdoch each bought 20% of TEN, they had to declare that they were effectively one 40% block even though seperate companies.
Maybe it gets waved through, maybe it doesn't.
