On the whole, Muslims are treated as anyone else in France. People miss this - when you're French, you're French.

does it have problems? yes. Does it solve them by repressing groups and making more enemies? - No.

France has wisely a long time back given religion the heave ho. But it tolerates religious practice.

It's not perfect, but it's very unlucky if a bomb drops on your head in France --------- compare that to Israel - chalk and cheese.
