    Very well said Wole64.

I agree exactly with how you stated things. What particularly interests me is that the CC crowd dont seem to give a damn about deforestation, rubbish in oceans, overcrowding, concrete jungles, water issues etc - which i find, well, bizarre. The fact that governments and the ultra rich/some industry seem to be in agreement about this issue, should ring alarm bells. I really hope that this just comes and goes as you say, because if not, get ready for a whole book of new taxes to come that will then be passed onto consumers and destroy the last remnants of competition that exist in the West. Whats worse is that the market will be completely distorted and those who are the biggest polluters today will get a cheque that helps them solidify their positions even more against competition (it will create a new barrier to entry for new companies). Competition in polluting industries will sink (therefore no incentive to create less polluting technology) in much the same way as lending standards dropped in the US once the government gave it the seal of approval (by distorting interest rates).
