Environmental standards? Are you sure about that? just look at the failure in rehabilitation on mines in Australia. The failure of Iluka to rehabilitate their mine site on Jennings Farm in Eneabba is simply just nothing more than woeful. There are craters in the ground that requires rehabilitation. It would appear they do not have the financial capacity for their legal rehabilitation obligations. It would appear the estimated rehabilitation costs of $3-4 billion to get the property back to pre mining state would render the company insolvent. The words "Environmental standards" on mine sites when rehabilitation is required do not go hand in hand.
