well said diligent.this is typical of the way of world today if you speak out against something ,you are liable to be branded homophobic,racist,chauvanistic etc etc Its about winning by denying debate.
If the government are not to be involved in 'moral' issues then at the end of the day it will be left to the church and not many of them will sanction it leaving the gay marriage meaningless.
I have respect for gays and their way of life.Why cant they show me the same respect by naming their commitment by something else other than marriage,i married as it was the considered the moral and respectful thing to do between a man and a woman who would someday have kids and they wouldnt be labelled bastards.
