Pretty disappointed with that. Can only imagine he was having a bad day and a bad day to him means ours will be real bad... Must of been hard to not write something back in rebuttal to that. I know they are in a position to not give anything any to suggest good or bad news but no response would of been a better option. I guess he's not paid for friendly emailing services. Could be looking to much into it, it's quite possibly he's had a massive night on the rack and coming down after the good news.
