I maybe new to PLS, but my theory on the high level of shorting is that all of the BEOT institutions had the same strategy at the same time. i.e. shorting PLS due to it's high liquidity and lack of other instruments to short. It may have worked well this last month, but it could easily turn pear shaped as we go into November, December which is seasonally favourable for shares and if LIT ETF catches some money, then they're won't be enough retail shares available on the market to buy to cover their shorts.
As I've said before we could have a mini Gamestop scenario next month IMO.
