That's the market we are in it seems. I have a huge position in nab too atm which to me is an asx bellweather. It's also behaving like a spec also, $42 to $16 to $32 to $23 since the gfc started for the bluest blue chip.
We are still in the grip of the GFC with a double dip looming. It's all sentiment trading atm, hence the wild fluctuations. Doesn't change the underlying value.
I don't buy the end of the world or US collapse theory. Holding one's nerve in the face of 30, 40, 50% swings is not easy for sure. Nothing worse than that feeling "better timing I would have got in at x price".
