There can often be a premium factored in when they’re long dated but that decays closer to expiry which is what you’ll see as RDNO gets closer to expiry
It’s definitely ot a ‘charge’ or additional cost
If you overlay even just the recent closing prices of RDN and RDNOA in recent weeks you’ll see that the options have traded up to a premium of 0.9c and as noted above they’re currently in the money / lagging by 0.2c - just market forces / volume etc
