    I may be dating myself, but I have never worked on a well onshore where LWD was used, so drilling without LWD is the norm, rather than the exception. MWD for directional control yes, but not LWD - GR/RES etc.

    LWD was more traditionally used offshore. So having LWD is a bonus.
