"They're so afraid of losing their image that they start losing profits"

How does this work? They're afraid of losing their image so they lose money on X and then can't sell it to the market they want to save face with?

I don't get it. Also if the EV Mustang is a bad idea, then the Cyber Truck is horrifically bad. It was meant to be in mass adoption by now.

Look, the Polestar 2 is a really good car but it isn't worth 91k (I'm not huge on EVs either but I would like one - hell they should rebrand all of Volvo as Polestar).

So far EVs are just rich people's toys. When an EV can be filled up for less and as quickly as a petrol car with the same range...we're good to go.

There is money in lithium right now because it is subsidised.

Let's say nuke takes off and has a significant cost advantage. I'm worried about atmospheric catalytic reforming of liquid fuels powered by cheap nuke electricity and also competition from vanadium, sulfur and manganese. If the charging & safety issues don't go away (they are, but slowly) then we have serious comp.

What if MnVS batteries don't have fire risks? We may be left holding our rather large dicks!

I'll still want an XF Jaguar or Lexus LS600 until they become truly redundant.
