You are re-writing history there, nobody was invited anywhere, it was an unsolicited offer. Nobody is suggesting STX wanted to keep Gurvantes, they didn't. But, the way they structured their offer has had serious consequences, it has left STX exposed for two months and there is still another month to go. A simple takeover would probably have been done by now, instead STX has turned what should have been an iconic quarter into a SH nightmare. They are reaping what they sowed by passing responsibility for Gurvantes to Colby instead of taking that on themselves ala WGO. STX have an arrogance problem, they thought they had a clever plan to acquire TPD but they failed to understand that somebody else had a plan for their plan. Whoever it is, their plan is working better.
