To ensure SMN has cash liquidity over the coming Xmas/New Year slow market period I think it's a very prudent move by the Company - and I participated in the original 90 cents plus 1 for 2 option issue (as opposed to this 2.5 for 1 issue provided here).
Interestingly in the Quarterly report it appears the Company managed to remain in excess of the 2 advance quarters required by Listing Rules ( even though it mistakenly suggests NA as the ratio - 495÷152 =3.2).
