Seems spare time in a resort on holidays is harder to come by than I remembered... here DRE is starting to drill the Star and i haven't given it any more thought. I was going to post the geological setting and structural-mineralisation setting from regional scale working down to deposit level, but given they are only looking to confirm previous results and test a bit deeper and further out at the Star, might as well start with the regions largest gold deposit and work out.

There is high grade gold present for sure, but my major concern, among a few, is that again DRE has economic scale-dysmorphia... bit like an anorexic person sees themselves as fat in the mirror. So many DRE prospects look great until you zoom in on the scale bar, then you realise that economic tonnage potential sits somewhere between unlikely and impossible. Acknowledgment for management presenting all the historical drill holes in plan on today's release, saves me the trouble of posting how the previous long-section (LS) left out so many NSI's to make the Star look more open and prospective than it actually is.

Lots of black drill collars in yellow circles in plan not on the LS, as around and between the two holes on the STMRC005 deep hole Cross-section. The gram-meters scale has been drastically cut down in plan (eg purple now >20g/t instead of >100g/t etc), which doesn't disguise the clear observation that the Star has an approx 50m strike of relatively shallow high-grade meters in the centre around old workings (white circle), that drops off in grade-thickness at depth (oranage circle.. with an apparent steep northerly plunge) and drops off quickly from dense drilling both south and north (yellow circles).

There is considerable discussion on the Star of Mangaroon geology I found with some Googling which I'll get around to posting later, the point of this mornings post is to coinsider the size potential before drilling down into further detail. For scale reference, I pulled up the Blue Spec deposit that CAI is working on in the Pilbara as another 'high-grade' but not stand alone type of satelite deposit. The Star is copied in below at the same scale for the Blue Spec deposit and the Golden Spec deposit along strike, and the MRE for the Blue and Golden is tabled at the bottom.
