I've certainly seen that too but like the dispersion in all forecasts one has to focus on the most likely scenario. I think the swing issue is actually getting projects up and running from the environment approvals point of view. What we have seen over the past few years is projects slated to come on just not happening. I mean I'm pretty sure whoever said 2028, didn't factor in Glencore saying they would shut Mt Isa (Cu mine). As far as I'm concerned there's a capital strike on and the big boys will not give FID till they know they are going to make a lot of money i.e. strikes or no strikes, protests or no protests.
The exception is probably (now) BHP's West Musgrave, which was the one I was posted on as much as RXM before, and that's mainly Ni with some Cu but it's got a further later copper leg.
For those who think Cu isn't the go. What was going through BHP's head with T/ O ing OZL for a decent (but I think cheap) price?
All IMVHO.
