Yes, there is some rationale to it. NVX is not competitive compared to the larger, established businesses + it is rather obvious that the bigwigs of the company see this business more as their personal cashcow than an enterprise that can actually create value.
I did not say anything about the grant. Stop putting words in my mouth. I have always said that the US government is not counting money and has spent money in far worse ways than that. Heck, they are now printing trillion $s per quarter. I will say that though - whilst grants and subsidies may make the executives happy and wealthy, no grant is likely to make difference in the end game of this company.
