Stage 1 of the $600M (?) Charlestown Square development opens today. This is the first of three staged openings. Stage 1 focusing on fresh food. The development looks very impressive and the complex when finished should be bigger and better than the nearby expansion of Westfield Kotara.
As a "Newie" resident, I am however disappointed that GPT has "dogged" the city centre Newcastle mall redevelopment.
