I am not sure how this all works but i have a feeling that the other positions must be like non executive positions. Personally I agree that these people should only have 1 job and focus on it. But it does seem the normal to an extent in the business circles.

If you feel so passionate about it next time bring it up at the next meeting before the vote. If information is communicated before hand about how to vote without attending I will vote that way but any demand should be clipping the wings as the term goes. Base the payment on similar sized companies and their payment to their directors. Contact sino steel and other parties that have been brought in over the years maybe some will be in agreement. most large entities vote even before the meeting and won't change it on the day.
