I have looked closely at share buybacks for other stocks that I have held. They seem to make some difference in the short term but hard to see any difference in the long run.
The next obvious boost for the SP ex-dividend will be the following dividend. Then there will be macro headwinds and tailwinds over the journey.
Then again- what weight should you place on temporal paper losses?
