The Inn Chanter wasn't big - just a few cabins - very beautifully crafted, and visitors were a mixed bunch when I was there so I am sure you would fit in.
My next door neighbours had told me about it - a couple, one retired and one a working nurse.
I can’t comment on any other areas in Vancouver Island beyond that brief stay in the Tofino area but that corner of Canada was definitely the kind of place one remembers..
If you do go to somewhere on Chesterman beach as part of your holiday I’d look towards the northern end near the Wickannish Inn which sits on the point .. It had some delicious food, and it was fun to poke around a bit there and make it the endpoint of a beach walk.
I’m glad I was able to tweak your interest golden, and hope fun with all your explorations both before and during the trip - for me the planning can be the best part
