i peraonallt dont look at what proce was and is. the market does what the market does at that point in time to make the casino go around.

the deeper questions are:-
1. is this a quality business?
2. are the management good?
3. do management have significant skin in the game.
4. will this company be making more money in X timeframe. that will depend on how long you eant your money parked.

if the answers to all of those are yes then you buy. yes tou may be lucky and pick a bottom but that is rare. you may pay more, which is way more.likely, but again if the answer to the above is yes then it doesnt matter that much. you just have less profit. but profit is profit.
