I accept your description of Hamas, yet I've read over the years of Israeli treatment of Palestinian people in the West Bank and the violence of "settlers" against their enforced Muslim neighbours.
the only difference that I see is Israel has sophisticated weapons of war, with settlers even being well armed as well as guarded by IDF. while people in West Bank have rocks/slings and Gazans have even less.
Hamas must have worked for a very long time making these rockets, explosives and fuels. thats desperation.
