I have said this many times before. The ASX does not put out official announcements!!! The company Does. the company also decides when a trading halt is needed. The company also decides if the event is important to the SP. The ASX does put out lots of guidelines for company to follow. If ASX receives Complaints about the action, or inaction the company took then they investigate the incident and take appropriate action.
Just think about people in the ASX trying to Scan all the news of every company on ASX every day. The ASX has only 500 People working for it/ No way they can be responsible for every thing.
