I reckon John is doing the right thing for our DJPIN community. … more so as the day wears on.
Personally, I try to put a warning message at the end of a post when posting on the previous day’s thread after the next day’s thread is opened.
I am always on the look out for anyone inadvertently caught in that trap and will tag them if I see it.
I once got caught out pinning on the wrong thread because someone posted something inane on it minutes before close … and received some rebuke when I expressed annoyance that someone would do that. Each to their own I guess.
Personally I hate seeing pinners miss out on an active pin with that trap.
On a fun closing note, and especially for @monkeybusiness, we are staying in Nikko for 2 nights (UNESCO world heritage temple precinct). The building in the photo below is the birth place of “hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil” … zoom in on the carvings across the bottom of the photo.
