What seems to confuse me is are all the open short positions in cahoots? If 93.7M shares are currently short, are they all opened by the same institution?
If not, why wouldn't one or two or them who currently have an open position, close off with the 2mil stack currently at 15.5 (yearly lows) and avoid any event risk that might occur if an announcement pops up tomorrow?
It's so extremely suspicious, maybe South Korea are on to something banning short selling for a time to see how the market reacts.
