@watso - well, good luck with dragging so much metal to a counter - maybe go to a bank first to convert - when they're not busy?
I still only have a bit of a tiny cataract in one eye only - too small to operate - so it's just a nuisance . . . will try and see an eye doctor privately to see what he can do.
I have always been in a health fund; cost now: $250 per month - but when things go wrong (they did once and I had to be delivered to hospital by ambulance) everything goes very smoothly, no extra cost. Now I am on the assembly 'earnings conveyor belt' for doctors, repeat tests every year - a b...y nuisance, luckily I am close to some pretty decent and easy to get to and park at medical facilities.
Have realised just now, that I should have gotten myself another prescription for my BP medication . . .totally forgotten.
