Yep, agreed, posters should not seek taxation or financial advice on social media- get professional advice.
The 45 day rule for franking credits would not apply to me- but worth knowing as one of the drivers for other punters- a part explanation for SP movements- one of many.
My summary of the tax act- boomers are not expected to pay tax- unless they are careless or greedy.
What are the drivers here now? The dividend ex-date or the macro? The headlines for the reporting banks are record annual profits- but second halves are well under their first halves. So far borrowers are showing resilience. Does that give a tick for APRA rules? Is there evidence that ANZ made 'liar' loans- or is that proving to be a rumour?
